Vendors
Become a vendor on our shelves
We give shelf space in the shop to local makers. We sell their work at the counter and pay them their share of what sells.
Who shops here
Your work sits in a working coffee shop, in front of the people who come in for coffee.
-
About 400 people come through the shop on a normal day.
-
50 to 150 sales a day come off the vendor shelves.
-
$5 to $15 is the price range that sells best.
Trinkets, toys, pop culture and anything fun tend to do well. The best sellers so far are crochet pieces, 3D-printed bookmarks, tarot cards and press-on nails.
Open every day, 8am to 5pm.
Your share of each sale
It works on consignment: your work stays yours while it sits on the shelf, and there is no rent for the space. When something sells, we keep 20% of the price and the other 80% is yours.
Sell a $15 crochet frog and $12 is yours.
The other $3 is the shop's share.
We pay you on the 5th of every month for what sold the month before. The money goes straight to your bank through Stripe.
Your work is also your risk until it sells. Staff stop theft when they see it, but the shop does not pay for anything stolen, lost or damaged.
Read the vendor agreement for the full terms before you decide anything.
How it works
-
Apply
Sign in, then tell us about your business and what you make. If your work is online, add a link so we can see it.
-
We read your application
Somebody at the shop reads every application. We usually answer within a week. We email you the answer.
-
Accept the vendor agreement
If we say yes, you read the vendor agreement and accept it online.
-
Set up payouts
Connect your bank through Stripe in your vendor account, so you can get paid. Stripe keeps your bank details, not us.
-
Add your products
List each thing you sell with its name and price, and put it up for sale. That is what staff ring up at the register.
-
Bring your work in
We book you shelf space, and you bring your work in and set it out. Most vendors get about two shelves.
-
Look after your shelf
Keep it stocked, tidy and priced. Post about it at least twice a month and tag Beanchain Coffee, so we can see the posts. If a month is not going to work, tell us before it ends. We would rather hear it than guess.
Markets at the shop
We have held markets at the shop before, with local vendors at tables for the day. When we hold the next one, vendors on our shelves hear about it first.
Looking for the shop, the menu or the events? That is all on bchain.coffee.
